Community Coaching Your Style

Sadly, the majority of the Fellow Humans in your town do not recognize their own creative spirit within. Few grew up with the benefit of an inspirational mentor. Most grew up with parents who were too busy keeping the children housed and fed. Their teachers struggled just to teach required subjects.
On becoming adults, most comply with corporate or government job requirements, and these rarely align with anyone's dreams. Such limited options can be so mind-numbing, that they seek distractions in drugs, addictive video games and social media. Many have only experienced unhealthy relationships and chronic unemployment. Worse still, they spiral down into depression and criminal activities.
As you explore the Fellow Humans Club website, you will find that Community Coaching is the most important service you can provide to fellow humans in your town. This section will present skills and resources that prepare you to inspire and encourage others to live their dreams.

Make the decision to BE THE BEST so you can inspire others to BE THE BEST. You might ask, "What's so great about being THE BEST?"
Well, when you are the best, you feel confident about your abilities. Feeling confident feels great. It spills over into other important areas of your life: Your relationships with friends, family, and Soul-Mates, money-earning, and overall health.
"But that can take years." "Being THE BEST sounds like a ton of hard work."
What if you have 20 years to achieve excellence? What if you grant yourself permission to really work hard to achieve greatness? Why would you coach others to be the best, while denying yourself the chance? Bo Eason has endured and overcome challenges that few attempt. As a child, he gave himself 20 years to become the BEST safety in professional football, and win a Super Bowl game. He was first pick for safety to a pro team, and only missed Super Bowl victory because of a major knee injury. He made his next 20 year declaration, succeeded, and has made a third 20 year declaration at age 58. His approach is honest, is available to all, and he doesn't sugar-coat the challenging life, the pitfalls, the struggles you are sure to endure when you choose to be the best.

We human beings think and make choices based on emotional and rational thinking. A good Community Coach has a keen awareness of how emotions act as an alert system to protect humans from potential harm. For example, a sudden car honk may arouse a fear response in a pedestrian who is crossing a busy street. Almost instantly, the pedestrian's awareness of his-or-her immediate surroundings is heightened. In that way, emotions re-set a person's attention levels, and that can be a very good thing. But not always.
As it turns out, many emotional responses are "programmed" from past experiences that may or may not be applicable to a situation happening here and now. Enter Rational Thinking to save the day. In your journey to become an exceptional Community Coach, you will develop a healthy relationship with your emotions...All of them: Sadness, Vulnerability, Anger, Grief, Frustration, Joy, Love, Anticipation, Trust...these are the stuff of LIFE. A healthy human being is open to all emotions, accepting their arrivals, and wishing them well on their departures. Dr. Joan Rosenberg is one of the best teachers you will find. Watch her Ted Talk for an introduction to this important topic.

I highly recommend Dr. Rosenburg's groundbreaking book. You simply must have a handle on opening your heart and mind to ALL emotions. This will empower you to compassionately help others do the same. Emotions will never break anyone. As you will learn, it is our thoughts about our emotions that trip us up.
Inspire Fellow Humans to Unleash Their
Creative Genius
Creative Genius
A great Community Coach knows that each human being is a creative powerhouse. There are no exceptions. Creativity is like a muscle. It must be exercised to gain power. Any Fellow Human who is disappointed in his or her creative power has not yet taken on enough challenging projects. More exercise, more creative power. Encourage others to exercise their creative muscles daily, and they will quickly discover proof for themselves: "Hey, I am a creative powerhouse!"

Jamie also has an excellent book full of workshop games, philosophy, and emotional wisdom. Most important, he explains clearly how we can inspire others to discover their mammoth levels of creativity and talent. There is an audio-book available as well.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Useful? Having Useful Skills is required to become a Useful Fellow Human. You will be encouraging others to develop new skills. People with highly developed skills are considered to be talented. Although many believe only certain people are blessed with intelligence and talent at birth, scientists are proving that all human brains are designed to "grow" new skills and higher levels of intelligence. The latest research indicates that talent is something anyone can develop. There is a catch, though. Focused effort is required. And it must be practiced frequently and consistently.
To become talented in a chosen skill, practice must become a daily habit. That requires change, which is something all human beings tend to resist. It can take months to lock in a new daily habit. If an aspiring concert pianist feels great anxiety at the thought of practicing every single day, he or she has not yet established the activity as a daily habit.
Good and bad habits all need to be reinforced through daily repetition. Yes, bad habits, too. Cigarettes taste and smell awful. How does anyone become a daily smoker? No-one is likely to become a pack a day smoker right off the bat. The same is true with healthy habits. The brain needs to create and reinforce new neural pathways. The new neural pathways are like new trails through a wilderness. The unfamiliar terrain raises anxiety and even dread, until a well-established trail, with familiar signs and landmarks, is established. But that takes daily, consistent effort.
"But I'm anxious, and I don't feel confident. The unfamiliar tasks seem formidable, and I resist even starting!"
No worries. This needn't hurt one little bit. The following can apply to developing any skill whatsoever. The YouTube channel Better Than Yesterday is your fast track to learning great strategies that address this very conundrum. Here is the most important video:
